Delicious. Gladly again. Nice ambience.
We were there for the Sunday breakfast buffet. The interior of the shop looks very appealing at first glance. Unfortunately the buffet was very well arranged, some sausage, some cheese, some vegetables and cereal. The first coffee was also included. That the ordered milk coffee then comes in a juice glass is astonishing. Especially since the juice glass was quite thin-walled and without a handle or handle and was therefore very hot. So wait ... What then came as a surprise was the additional costs for eggs and pork belly in any form. Costs extra. Everything. After all, the waitresses tried to adhere to the hygiene requirements and always wore a mask in the guest room. Behind the counter and when sitting on the stairs, however, this was then put down and hands were very often on the face. We are no longer drawn there so quickly.
I was with Olaf a little while ago and attended a meat tasting with him, which I can only recommend to everyone to have done! The price even included drinks and the great meats offered ...... from Argentina, the USA and Ireland. Even the group of participants that came together was great, we were a great fun group with a lot of fun in the evening! After the course we ate together in a great atmosphere by candlelight. What I found particularly great was that Olaf showed me how meat can no longer be cooked bloody and still "still juicy". Because I didn't like it bloody, unfortunately! But now I know how to prepare optimally. THANK YOU
Very tasty breakfast at the breakfast buffet. Nice service. The café is in a very clocked building. Our little dog was allowed in.
Came by by chance and then stayed a long time and enjoyed the vacation :-). Great atmosphere, despite Coroba and a lot of stress for the service, they were always friendly and very quick.
Great little café, we've been regular customers for a long time and have actually done everything from cocktail courses, cooking courses to breakfast or lunch, everything is always great and it's always great fun. It's great that Olaf landed in Wetzlar, even in this difficult Coronna time, we feel really good.
I attended the Indian cooking class a while ago and I have to say it wasn't mine. It was my first cooking class so I can't compare, but I would have expected a little more. The ingredients were fresh and the team was very nice. But I found it very cramped with all the people in the kitchen, you often stood in each other's way, the stove was occupied or you looked for ingredients. I was also missing a little introduction (typical dishes, ingredients, etc.) and maybe a few tips and tricks. You always got an answer to questions, but for me it was simply dull cooking according to a recipe, which I can also do at home. I also found the toilet situation not that appealing.
Unfortunately I have to give 3 stars here. Unfortunately, the kitchen was an absolute disaster. Ordered a breakfast platter without cheese & ham, as if that were asking too much, my meal arrived 20 minutes after the others had eaten at our table. After 20 minutes the platter came, of course WITH cheese & ham. Oops. Back again. Was removed, plate finally came to me after 40 minutes. Fried egg was cold. The food was average, nothing special. So really disappointing. It's a shame, because the location offers a lot.
Short stopover in transit. We chose this cafe based on the good reviews. We chose a table in the shade and waited for a waitress. There was none. Then I'm in the pub. There, too, I was initially ignored by 3 people even though there were no other guests. I ordered 2 cappuccinos. They were brought in after about 5 minutes. Unfortunately the waitress didn't notice that our table was full of crumbs and blobs. Not even when putting down the drinks. And that in this day and age when the table has to be disinfected after every guest. The cappuccino was very good. Paying also took a little longer.
This is my first recession now and I had to let go of my excitement. The location is really very nice on the Lahn bridge from Wetzlar. A great ambience. The food was really delicious. Me and my friend opted for the tarte flambée and it was really extremely tasty and you had a wide variety of toppings. Not only the standard things, but also more special things such as Pears and orange jam. The waitress was also very polite. For dessert we had ice cream that tasted great again. Also there was not only the standard types but also more exotic ice cream such as Pineapple basil, shortbread raspberry and grandma’s batter bowl. In the end we decided on that and it was really a culinary delight. All in all, the café has definitely earned 5 stars and I look forward to further visits. Sincerely, A.B.
Delicious. Gladly again. Nice ambience.
Individually and deliciously prepared lunch menu, rustic cellar walls directly on the Lahn.
The champagne & lobster evening was a mega highlight for us. We had a lot of fun and it was delicious. Mmmmh. Recommendation for couples and friends.
Yesterday we attended an Olaf cooking class for the first time. We liked it very much. The food was super delicious, Olaf is a great host with a lot of expertise and the group was also very sociable. Simply a successful evening!
Beef fillet and lobster cooking class was a dream. In a nice round had a great evening
It is very comfortably furnished and you can have breakfast really relaxed. The fresh scrambled eggs were bathed in fat a little too much for my taste, but still very tasty. The selection of sausage, cheese and different spreads could actually be a bit bigger for the fact that you have to pay for eggs again individually. Coffee was delicious. Still a nice breakfast
It’s just beautiful. So far, 2 cooking classes and each time a lot of learning and laughing. Everyone has also had enough. Olaf is able to explain things in such a way that even the last culinary specialist understands it.
Tastefully furnished, cozy, small restaurant, very nice service and delicious food. Good price-performance ratio. There is something for every taste - whether sweet or savory. What more do you want? ? Highly Recommended! We will definitely be back and would be happy to return.
Quite inconspicuous from the outside, we almost passed it. It was only because of the lack of cafes in the area that we became aware of this, thank God. It is really lovingly decorated and furnished, lots of wood and leather. You feel right at home. The cake baked by housewives and great coffee reinforces this feeling. Imm gladly again! :)
Very cute place to eat. I had lunch over there and it was very good! The Flammenkuche is delicious.
The experience gastronomy on offer is simply great! We were able to cook a perfectly coordinated menu with Olaf, which everyone enjoyed. We were allowed to take the recipes with us afterwards, which is why I was able to cook it successfully at home. Thanks for the nice hours!
Nice place in a very good spot.
